Because of that, Battlefield 5 became one of the most anticipated games of 2018, and for good measure, with the diverse range of modes and the look, although the battle royal wasn’t warmly met but players still found it playable and fun. On top of that, the latest entryBattlefield 2042, is facing issues meaning players are going back to Battlefield 5, so it’s a good time for both new and old players to jump back in. One of the best modes of Battlefield 5, is the co-op mode called Combined Arms where a squad with 4 players can play with bots in these computer-generated modes which act as a co-op campaign, if players arm themselves with these tips, they’ll be able to beat these missions with ease.
5 The Right Loadout
This tip goes for both the player and the team because with the right set up the squad can run through enemies better, so each class should have gear that makes them do better during these modes. So in a player in the assault class, picking a weapon with strong firepower and less recoil is good, but each gun within the class operates differently. Some may be good for a close-range like the STG 44 or long-range like the Gewehr 43, so players in each class can pick something they want to get better at.
Not only the weapon, but players should also take a look at the gear and other items that will make life easier for the squad, so if players are a medic it’s a good idea for them to have a large medic crate on them, so they can heal the squad better. Players should also gear up for the situation because each mode and map is different from the rest so sticking with what the player knows is good, but it limits the gameplay for them because they will stick to the same loadout that may not work in that setting. Changing things up frequently is a good thing.
4 Communication
Now, this rule is pretty much universal, but it’s best displayed when in its Battlefield 5, which is why it’s one of the better multiplayer games. Veteran Battlefield players truly understand how important this tip is, and it’s even more needed in the co-op. Players who scout or call out enemy’s positions should be talking the most since they can see ahead and warn the rest of the squad, not only that, but it gives players a better idea of the situation they’re about to face and on harder difficulties’ communication becomes a bigger deal.

If the squad wants to take a stealth approach, they can communicate and count when to take the attack, it just allows the squad to be in sync with one another. Generally speaking, players should be communicating what they’re doing in case the plan goes south or whenever someone goes down, it’s good for players to keep the squad alert by communicating it.
3 Full Squad
Players going in with less than 3 squadmates is manageable and doable, but it forces one player to pull the weight of two if the squad wants to successfully get through it, and it gets even harder when the difficulty is raised. Having a full squad is more pros than cons because each player is now doing something, healing, attacking, scouting, supporting so having the machine running on all engines can make each of these sections easier, easier when there is a full squad.
It feels more rewarding when players get through each area alive because each player is helping out one another plus they complement each squadmate’s traits. Having a full squad also has the benefits that each player can utilize their passive traits which can change the battle to the favor of the players, so going in with a full squad is always better, it also works better with communication.
2 Building Fortifications
This component is new to the Battlefield series, where players build walls of sandbags to protect themselves, the team, and the squad, and is quite important. In Combined Arms, it’s even more important because there are many points during those missions that force players to hold a position for a certain amount of time because now players don’t have to run to cover when they just make it. It’s even faster to build cover when more than one player is doing it, so if players plan it correctly they can fortify their position even faster allowing them to fight back earlier.

Plus, when building these fortifications they can double as those houses that were blown up, so it’s helpful for players to start building positions as soon as they can. It can also offer players to get some unique kills because going on the offensive can be easier.
1 Team Makeup
This is a crucial tip, while Battlefield allows the freedom for players to pick whichever class they want, it works the best if players fill the roles that are designated within the game. If the squad is made up of all 4 classes then playing Combined Arms is much easier, even on the harder difficulties, because all members on the squad are contributing to the fight, allowing them to win faster. Plus if each member is doing something, the survival rate increases, for example, medics will drop health and get heals quickly and snipers, which are quite already overpowered, can snipe and keep enemies at bay.
Battlefield 5 gets much more manageable when players are fighting with a squad that has each role filled out because now each player has done or will be doing something that increases the chance to get out alive even higher. Plus a full team enhances each class’s abilities, if an assault class player runs out of rocket ammo from taking out tanks, the support class can come in and drop or build ammo stations, same for medics that can build a medic station for players to run back to and refilled. So it’s a good idea for players to have a full team makeup filling all those roles.
Battlefield 5 is available now on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC.
