EA Studios lead community manager Adam Freeman provided inquisitive fans with an official date on Twitter. He says that while the team is understandably being barraged with questions regarding Battlefield 2042’s delay right now, the development team appreciates the support and will get information out as it’s available. With that in mind, Freeman confirms that Battlefield 2042’s new Early Access day has been moved to November 12, a week ahead of Battlefield 2042’s new release date....

Until then, though, Battlefield 6 rumors are everywhere. Fans should be cautious of what they read, as even the most trustworthy sources are still not official sources. With everything from a classic WW2 setting to a more modern setting rumored, it can be hard to separate fact from fiction. Most of these rumors are the typical variety fans can expect to see, but there’s one worth a double-take: the inclusion of robot dogs....

Now it seems like even more classic Rare characters will be making a return, albeit not in a form that many may have expected. Announced during Microsoft’s Gamescom presentation, none other than Battletoads’ Rash will be making a guest appearance in the aforementioned fight title Killer Instinct as a playable character. While many fans are sure to be excited by the newest addition to the roster, it should be noted that Rash’s inclusion is only for a limited time, as the team at Iron Galaxy Studios is just hoping to test out the fighter before a more formal release next year....

The new Battletoads game, which is developed by Dlala Studios in partnership with Rare, will officially launch on both PC and Xbox One on August 20. As previously confirmed, and is now typical, Battletoads will be available via Xbox Game Pass on day one. Subscribers will have free access to Battletoads just like all other Xbox published titles. Battlefield 1 has quickly become one of the most anticipated games of the year, and we have compiled everything you need to know about the game in one place. EA and DICE went all out with the Battlefield 1 reveal, showing off the game’s impressive visuals, confirming its World War I setting, and also offering some info about its various game modes. Some may have found the Battlefield 1 reveal a tad overwhelming, but the flow of information didn’t end there....

In the most basic sense, Battlefield 1 is still a Battlefield game. Players pick from one of four classes (assault, support, medic, or scout), which each come with a selection of weapons. As players progress they will have access to more weapons, but for our E3 2016 demo the options were somewhat limited. The assault brandishes an assault rifle, the support uses a heavy machine gun, the medic uses a bolt-action rifle or marksman rifle, and the scout has long-range weapons like sniper rifles....

More than a few fans expected EA and DICE to simply give up on Battlefield 2042 and move on to the next Battlefield title. With player numbers dwindling on Steam, it seemed like the game’s player base had given up as well. However, DICE is still making an effort to improve its latest FPS, as shown by the recent release of Battlefield 2042 Patch 4.1. Alongside the usual balance changes that can be expected from a big patch, one of the major decisions made by DICE seemed puzzling to fans, and that was the removal of the 128-player Breakthrough mode....

DICE will tell the story of the No-Pats as the game continues to be supported, with Battlefield 2042’s post-launch Seasons and Hazard Zone game mode giving players some insight into where things are going next. With official short stories also being released regularly, it seems like there is going to be plenty of lore for those that are interested to dive into. One of the most interesting pieces of promotional material for the game thus far highlights its backstory, as the short film Battlefield: Exodus does a nice job of teasing the main conflict....

After the holiday break, EA global comms director Andy McNamara sent out a series of since-deleted tweets explaining that, while he understood fan concerns, employees need time to rest. No matter the platform, Battlefield 3 will deliver industry-leading visuals and to showcase the game’s presentation and details, new screenshots, animation cells, storyboards and conceptual sketches have been released. The game that was “designed to take [Call of Duty] down” brings not only brings back vehicles (including jets) and the ability to go prone (a la Call of Duty), but it also brings back destructible environments, another feature its competing franchise has yet to fully implement....
